ISO 36 用於測量兩層織物以橡膠黏合或一層橡膠一層織物黏合分離所需的力（透過剝離）。此測試可測得給定位移率的中位峰值力量和產品的黏合強度特性。
這種方法適用於平層表面，或內部大於約 50 mm 直徑的圓筒形狀，不適用於含有尖銳彎曲、角度、或其他不能由切割試件排除，總值不平整的表層。
原則上，試樣夾在測試機的夾面，確保試樣的夾持，施加一個恆定位移率的力撕裂試樣，直至斷裂。撕裂的力量從力峰計算。為了記錄測試，高速智慧型測試數據記錄速率是必要的，需要至少 100 Hz 或以上的速率傳輸至電腦，以擷取和記錄所有的資料。
我們採用橡膠包覆夾面的氣動式夾具以夾緊安裝在拉伸測試機上的材料。雖然手動夾具亦可操作，但由於氣動式夾具的易用性、生產效率以及具有較好的重複性，我們許多的用戶仍然較傾向使用氣動式夾具。這些夾具可設定夾緊壓力，而手動操作夾具就取決於操作者的力量（重複性較差）。此外，我們發現，在這些測試中，夾持壓力與試樣的對齊是非常重要的。太多的夾持壓力造成過早斷裂，沒有足夠的夾持壓力反而會導致試樣在達到或接近夾面時滑脫或斷裂。這些夾具通常適用於單柱或雙柱設計。使用 Bluehill® 2 測試軟體，輸入試樣細節、設定所需的測試控制、自動計算期望的結果和統計，都能依據規格產生測試報告。
